ช่วงนี้เจอ open-source project ในสาย AI น่าสนใจหลายตัวมากครับ ลองไปแล้วก็หลายอัน กำลังลองอีกหลายอัน เลยอยากรวมมาเป็นลิสต์สั้นๆ เผื่อใครอยากตามไปลองด้วยกัน ข้อดีของ open-source คือเราเปิดเข้าไปดูข้างในได้เลยว่ามันทำงานยังไง ไม่ต้องเดา และส่วนใหญ่ลองฟรี

  • Nanochat — chat model/แนวทางตัวเล็กๆ ที่เอาไว้ศึกษาและลองรันเองได้สบายๆ เหมาะกับคนอยากเข้าใจว่า chat model ทำงานยังไงจากศูนย์
  • The Agency — framework สาย agent สำหรับวางระบบให้ agent หลายตัวทำงานร่วมกัน
  • Promptfoo — ตัวนี้ผมว่ามีประโยชน์มากสำหรับคนเขียน prompt จริงจัง เอาไว้ test และเทียบ prompt/model แบบมีหลักการ ไม่ใช่เดาเอา
  • MiroFish — tool ในสายนี้ที่กำลังลองอยู่ น่าตามดูต่อ
  • Impeccable — อีกตัวที่อยู่ใน list กำลังลอง
  • OpenViking — open-source project ที่น่าสนใจในสายเดียวกัน
  • Heretic — ปิดท้ายด้วยตัวนี้ ชื่อกวนดี

เอาจริงๆ ผมว่าเสน่ห์ของช่วงนี้คือ ของดีๆ มันออกมาเป็น open-source เยอะมาก เราไม่ต้องยึดติดกับ tool เดิมๆ อยากลองตัวไหนก็ switch ไปลองได้เลย หลายอันแทบจะแจกฟรี ใครสนใจตัวไหนก็ลองตำดูได้ครับ แล้วค่อยเก็บไว้เฉพาะตัวที่เข้ากับ workflow เรา

Lately I’ve run into a bunch of interesting open-source projects in the AI space. I’ve tried several already and I’m still working through more, so I wanted to put together a short list in case anyone wants to try them too. The nice thing about open-source is that you can look straight inside to see how it works — no guessing — and most of it is free to play with.

  • Nanochat — a tiny chat-model approach that’s easy to study and run yourself. Great if you want to understand how a chat model works from scratch.
  • The Agency — an agent framework for orchestrating several agents working together.
  • Promptfoo — this one is genuinely useful if you write prompts seriously. It lets you test and compare prompts and models in a principled way, instead of guessing.
  • MiroFish — another in this space that I’m currently trying out, worth keeping an eye on.
  • Impeccable — also on my list and in progress.
  • OpenViking — an interesting open-source project in the same vein.
  • Heretic — and to close it out, this one, with a fittingly cheeky name.

Honestly, the charm of this moment is how much good stuff is shipping as open-source. You don’t have to stay locked into the same tool — if you want to try something new, you just switch over and try it, and a lot of it is essentially free. Pick whichever one catches your eye, try it out, and keep the ones that fit your workflow.
